Never settle.
Our Advanced Series version of our award winning MilViz F-4E Phantom II raises the bar once again for simulation fidelity. TacPack capability, study level functionality and flight modeling.

The F-4 Phantom II is truly an iconic aircraft, not only for it's strikingly unique and aggressive appearance, but also for it's wide ranging service history and record breaking performance. Typical of jet aircraft of that era, the F-4 was never a simple aircraft to fly. It required complete mastery; careful discipline and a focus on attentive control. Only then could a pilot push his F-4 to the limit, reaching the full capability of what this amazing machine was capable of.

Our 2015 release of the F-4E Phantom II was well-received and indeed, award winning, but we weren't content to settle. The capabilities of Microsoft Flight Simulator (and by extension, Lockheed Martin's Prepar3d) allow for a plausible simulation of the flight regime of most aircraft, especially when in the hands of a skilled developer. However, there are still plenty of limitations present that prevent a true study-level simulation.

To that end, we've developed our Advanced Series F-4E to overcome current limitations present in simulator-based flight dynamics and systems simulation to provide a more authentic representation of the actual aircraft.

External Flight Physics Engine

The Advanced Series F-4E module includes an external physics engine that is independent of the simulator. This allows the representation of highly accurate aircraft characteristics without the traditional limitations imposed by the default simulator physics engine.

Accurate Aircraft Aerodynamics

Stability and control derivatives are based of available wind tunnel and flight test data, translating into realistic aircraft behaviour in all possible flight conditions. A highly accurate, dynamically computed drag model exists for all aircraft configurations, including pylons, racks and stores.

Along with realistic slats aerodynamics, extremely accurate modeling of the J79-GE-17 engines and dynamic inertial modeling, the F-4E ADV model accurately matches the performance figures of the real jet in nearly every aspect across all possible aircraft configurations.

In-Depth Systems Modeling

The following is but an small overview of the systems that have been implemented in the F-4E ADV model: Flight Control System (FCS/ACS), Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS), hydraulic and pneumatic systems with individual actuated control elements, Air Data Computer (ADC), J79 engine operating characteristics with accurate limits for compressor and afterburner, realistic fuel management, landing gear structural modeling with individual element failures, drag chute with accurate dynamics and limitations...

We're really not kidding when say the F-4E ADV module has some of the most advanced systems ever simulated in the FSX/P3D world.

Custom & Configurable Failures

The F-4E ADV module allows a comprehensive system of aircraft failures, all able to be individually configured to suit any desired level of difficulty. Set to provide a fully realistic simulation experience, the failure capabilities will include not only realistic systems operation, but extend to cover the possibility of having a system failure with probabilities based on true failure rates.

Scalable Realism & Difficulty

Although we are proud of what has been accomplished with the F-4E ADV in terms of systems depth and flight modeling, we completely understand that on occasion you might not want all of that responsibility. After all, even students need a break now and then!

To that end, the realism of the included systems along with their associated limitations can be scaled from a 100% realistic experience with full system management under pilot control, all the way over to a easy / fail-free mode.

Instructor Mode

With maximum realism set and systems management under pilot control, there's no way around it: the Advanced Series F-4E is a very complex aircraft. Given all of this complexity, an "Instructor Mode" has been included. It can be selected to assist at any phase of flight operations, from engines start, to engines shut-down.

In this mode, everything from configuration changes and mis-operation warnings, right down to flying hints will be displayed just as if you had a real F-4 instructor sitting in your rear seat. Highly recommended during the familiarization period, this mode will help ease the learning curve typically associated with complex jets.

MVAMS Integration

Our innovative MilViz Aircraft Management System (MVAMS) is included with this release. It allows for easy control and set-up of the aircraft, including configuring the default start-up state, radio frequencies, as well as allowing the setup of joystick axis. It also allows for easy notification and application of hotfixes as they are released for your aircraft.

TacPack Capability

The Milviz F-4E Phantom II Advanced Series comes complete with full TacPack capability, enabling you to operate the weapon systems, fire guns, drop bombs, or launch rockets from your now-armed-to-the-teeth F-4E Phantom. Weapons are selected in-sim via a loadout manager, letting you configure your layout however you like.

Separate TacPack software required for full weapons functionality; TacPack software not included.

Award Winning

" There is no doubt about it, these are a hell of an add-on."
- excerpt from the review at Mutley's Hangar, where we are very proud to say the F-4E scored a 9.7/10 and received a Mutley's Hangar Gold Award!

This looks amazing.  I've been pretty resistant to doing military in p3d but this phantom looks awesome.  What's the big difference between this one the E model and the J/S milvis model ?  Both have an advanced package.

It be great to creat a little Vietnam airwar with in p3d, is it possible with tacpac and other content out there like fsx@war ?

The documentation in the first post will tell you the differences between E & J/S but as you know. The J/S are the naval variants which are able to land on carriers.

F-4E
USAF version with an integral M61 Vulcan cannon in the elongated RF-4C nose, AN/APQ-120 radar with smaller cross-section to accommodate the cannon, J79-GE-17 engines with 17,900 lbf (79.379 kN) of afterburner thrust each. Late-series aircraft equipped with leading-edge slats to improve maneuverability at the expense of top speed under the Agile Eagle program. Starting with Block 53, aircraft added AGM-65 Maverick capability and smokeless J79-GE-17C or -17E engines. First flight 1 August 1965. The most numerous Phantom variant; 1,370 built

F-4J
Improved F-4B version for US Navy and Marine Corps, with emphasis on air-to-air combat capability improvement, which include: J79-GE-10 engines with 17,844 lbf (79.374 kN) of afterburner thrust each, AN/APG-59 pulse doppler radar coupled with the AN/AWG-10 Fire Control System for look-down shoot-down capability, larger main landing gear wheels resulting in wing bulges similar to F-4C, slatted tailplane, ailerons drooped 16.5° when landing gear and flaps were deployed to decrease the landing speed, zero-zero ejection seats, expanded ground attack capability, no IRST sensor under the nose; One USN pilot and one USN Naval Flight Officer became aces in F-4Js. First flight May 1966; 522 built.

F-4S
F-4J modernized with smokeless engines, reinforced airframe, leading-edge slats for improved maneuverability. First flight July 1977; 302 converted.

It be great to creat a little Vietnam airwar with in p3d, is it possible with tacpac and other content out there like fsx@war ?

Yes it is possible.

I have FSX@War + CCP + FSCAI. All are free and give you what you want. It is not ideal because you have to use the 3 seperate progs but it is a simple task.

Take a look at my post about Skunknet here & vAcmi here

I enjoy military in P3D. I feel it gives me a lot more freedom than other combat sims. Also aircraft like the Milviz Adv series are very high fidelity.
