About

Welcome to Silent Depth, a WWII 3d submarine simulation for your PC.



Being a member of the Silent Service of the US Navy you take command of a Gato/Balao class submarine and go on extended patrols in the dangerous waters of the Pacific in world war II. Your task is to attack Japanese merchant ships without being caught by destroyer escorts either using your torpedo weapons or your deck gun in a realistic environment. Control your submarine, use your strengths and find the weak spots of your enemy. Only that way you have a chance to survive this thrilling 3d simulation. Run silent, run deep!

•   Real day/night cycles with realistic sun/moon/star settings and lighting

Hey there, our first update is there. This is basically a patch release:

BUGFIX:
- fixed critical save/load positioning bug
- fixed wrong contact detection angles (were almost always behind the sub)

CHANGED:
- stop watch for torpedoes
- texture of Midway
- lowered the detection range for enemy ships
- clock graphics

Dear all,

we roll out another update which fixes some nasty load/save issues which could happen under some circumstances.

BUGFIX:
- fixed unnecessary saving when pausing the game
- fixed loading/saving issues
- fixed wrong positioning of training target

Dear all,

we just released a small patch which enables the visibility of running torpedoes on the map again.

We continue to work on further updates.

The PC version is a port of the iOS mobile app version of 2016, but with updated features. The Roadmap on the Steam page talks about enemy aircraft and AAA.

New (little) update is out!

Dear all,

we've just released a patch with the following changes:

•   fixed not correctly working torpedo reloading when returning to base
•   fixed spelling errors
•   fixed temperature gauge
•   fixed issues with wider screens
•   fixed possible loading errors
•   changed some graphics


Thank you so much for your patience over all the time. We've had quite some difficult times in the past even though that doesn't excuse our absense.
