UPDATE! new units! Flag bearer, fifer drummer!
Rise of Liberty - jack

Hello! There are now flag bearers, fifers and drummer units added to Rise of Liberty. They give moral to nearby units (decrease reload speed / increase accuracy).

--The new units will be mixed in with line infantry, if you have 200 bots on the map you can expect to see 3-4 of each of the new units--

Hope you like this update, next update I plan to add optional rag dolls, Impact effects and blood when bots shoot each other and possibly historical flags?

Update notes:

Added fifer unit.

Added drummer unit.

Added flag bearer Unit.

Overall performance improvements.

Bug Fixes.

Make suggestions in the comments below, I read all of them.

Hey, I decided to make a road map for Rise of Liberty.

I will keep an updated version in the discord server, and there is also a feature where yall can make suggestions for the game and vote on it!

Roadmap

Next Update plans: (should be out in a few days)

1. Ragdolls (optionable)

2. improved explosions and impact effects

3. blood splatters and impact effects from AI weapons


Short term goals (4 months)

1. Redo all the weapon animations with the new rig.

2. Add a fort map

3. Campaign mode

4. New menus

5. 5 new weapons (I'm open to suggestions)

6. Historically accurate flags

7. Improved sound effects (gun sounds, bullets impact sounds, etc.

8. AI improvements

9. lots more stuff will be added, I just need to look through community suggestions and write them down


Possible short term goals (4 months):

(lots more small additions)

1. New faction (France)

2. New Unit (Sharp Shooter)

3. Workshop support (custom weapons only)

4. Revamped movement system


Once everything on the roadmap is completed I plan to bring RoL out of EA!

1. Will you continue updating RoL after leaving EA?

Yes, I will continue updating RoL regularly for as long as people are there to play the update.


2. Will you be adding more to the roadmap?

Yes, I plan to add more community suggestions to it.

Heyo, this update focused mostly on improving immersion through better impact effects sound effects.

If you are wondering where rag-dolls are, they will be finished and updated by the end of the week.

notes:

- improved impact and blood effects
- improved explosions
- AI bullets now kick up dirt when hitting objects
- bullets have sound effects when passing the player
- a few bug fixes
- performance improvements

Rag dolls are finally out!

Hope you like the update! I plan on adding further improvements to the rag dolls like increased performance and to make them go flying when a cannonball hits them. (and i'll add horse rag-dolls soon)

Heyo! This is mostly a bug fix update, however I added some skin color variations. It should still be historically accurate, let me know your thoughts on the update below.

Added improved translations
Added new flags for bunker hill

Fixed Invisible Cursor after death.
Fixed musket not having new textures.
Revamped AI coat textures
Fixed drummers arms stretching out when rag-dolls are enabled

HUGE UPDATE!!! Siege Mode, Puckle Guns, Mortars & more!

Heyo! This is a huge update for RoL with tons of new content including the long awaited Siege Mode & Puckle guns.

What is Siege Mode?

Siege Mode is a strategic wave defense mode where you earn money to buy more troops and defenses to fortify your fort as endless waves of enemies attack from all directions! You can place puckle guns, cannons, & mortars to assist you defending & waves get increasingly difficult to survive.

Leaving Early Access
The game reached the point where it can leave early access! YAY!!!!
Don't worry I will still keep updating the game frequently!


The Developers Highest Wave

The highest wave I have been able to reach in siege mode is wave 15, so I challenge you all to try and beat it!

Key-binds can be set from the dialog box that is open upon launching the game.

Edit: I noticed that this update reset weapon unlocks :( I made a way to quickly unlock them again.

there is a hidden button on the main menu that you can press to instantly unlock all weapons.

it will be in a different place then in the GIF if your not at 1080p

Hey, new update for Rise of Liberty in the update I fixed all of the major bugs left in the game and did quite a bit on optimizing it as well.

I'm planning on having a content update out by the end of the month so let me know what you want to see in it. I'm thinking a new weapon? (let me know which weapon you want to see) and potentially 2nd map for siege mode?

2. Fixed AI not targeting the player in close range

3. Fixed bow not being properly sighted in.

4. Minor optimizations.

5. Several other small bug fixes.

New densely forested map with chaotic spawn points.
Hey everyone, Just released a new update with a densely forested map called "woodlands" it features chaotic spawn points and close quarters combat!

Sorry for it being a bit late, I got really busy with midterms, let me know what you want to see in the next update. I'm thinking maybe a new siege mode map? with the British defending?

Heyo, Just released a new siege mode map, that features several choke points and a town.

Update! New Siege mode cannon!

New Siege mode cannon & settings.

I'm Back! This update has a new Siege mode deploy able called the swivel gun.

I also added a setting for those who liked the old graphics on the game, It increases the saturation/brightness of the game giving it a lot more colorful look!
