Rise of Liberty is a single-player massive Revolutionary War battle simulator. Fire deafening cannons into the thick of the battle, stand in line formation and fire devastating volleys into the enemy. Gather your men for these monumental battles and defeat the enemy!

Rise of Liberty is a single player massive strategy / battle simulation game that takes place during the revolutionary war, you can fire cannons, command a huge army or take part in massive battles!

Heyo, new update out with player ride-able cavalry! you wanted it so i made it happen! read the full update notes below.

Fixes:
Team-mate friendly fire.
Bullet not disappearing when shot

Additions:
Press ALT to march as fast as other soldiers in line formation.
Weapon sway.
Footstep sounds.
Ride-able cavalry. (they are located near each spawn, press F to mount)

New update out! I worked on improving the melee combat slightly so the cavalry would pursue the player better! See the full update notes below.

Fixes:

Fixed links for discord and twitter.

Additions:

Melee sound effects for AI.
Improved cavalry.
Added performance about +5% frame rate.

UPDATE! Overhauled Menus, tons of fixes +5% FPS

Heyo, I've spent about 16 hours in the past 2 days working on this update and I think you guys are going to love it! I completely overhauled the menus for a fresh and polished look! Below are the full patch notes.

Additions:
1. Overhauled menu.
2. Optimizations
3. loading levels (to prevent crashes)

Fixes:
1. Fixed crashing on flatland.
2. Fixed arms bugging out at a certain angle
3. A lot of other stuff I forgot lol.

Development update!
6 May - jack

I have been working on improving the art style for the past week or so, I added some more realistic trees, more detailed grass and ground textures and a ton other small details.



How do these trees look? do they fit the style? should they be shorter?
(I'm going to work on adding several different types of trees and bushes)



And for those asking, these trees run much better then the previous ones, you should see a performance increase when it is released!

The update should be out in 1-2 weeks and it will have the new graphics and player models along with a few other changes!

Heyo! I pretty much replaced all of the models, textures, trees, and animations!

The game looks like a whole new game now!

Additions:
1. New trees
2. New textures
3. New models
4. New bot animations
5. A ton of optimization +30-40% better frames

UPDATE! day/night cycle, new weapon, bug fixes!

Heyo! I added a day/night cycle on the "Hill day/night" map to test performance and see how everyone likes it before it is added to the rest of the levels.

I also added a player usable and improved the melee hit detection!

Full patch notes are below:

   Fixed minimap
   Fixed player height
   Added spear
   Added day/night cycle
   Improved melee hit detection


The color may look a bit off on the day/night map but it will be fixed once all the levels have the day/night.

This update was released on Monday, but I just found the time to post the announcement for it!

Option to change speed of day/night cycle in options (change speed to 0 to turn off cycle)

Small update with some lighting improvements and bug fixes! I'm working on a historical battles mode, which will have historical recreations of some of the major battles and I'm working on a campaign mode. That update should be out in 3-5 weeks from now.

Patch Notes:

1) Added Bloom effect (turn it off in option if it causes you lag)

2) New Sandbox mode layout to allow for more customization of battles.

3) Improved lighting

4) Fixed AI getting stuck in cannons

5) Fixed being able to walk through trees

Huge Update! 4 New Maps and Historical Battles Mode!

Hello everyone! One of the biggest updates Rise of Liberty has every received is now live! I features 4 new maps, a completely reworked vegetation system, tons of bug fixes and a whole lot more!

Additions:
   New map: Battle of Trenton.
   New map:Siege of Yorktown.
   New map: Battle of Saratoga.
   New map: Battle of Lexington.
   Historical battles mode.
   New vegetation system, completely new grass and Rocks scattered across the map.
   Added around 25 supported translations for the game!

Fixes:
   Fixed AI hovering a few inches off the ground.
   Fixed AI sliding for the first few steps.
   Fixed crashing on certain maps.
   Fixed victory music not being linked to volume slider.
   Fixed Ammo barrels not working.

Hello everyone! after the update I saw that a few people were having issues with the trees/grass not rendering. I added a fix for it in this update!

If you have this problem go to the options menu in game, and toggle "use old vegetation". That should fix it!

Fixes:
   Fixed words being cut off for certain languages.
   Fixed Graphics settings not saving.
   Added "use old vegetation" option to fix the trees not rendering for some people.

Hello everyone, this is a small update to fix the crashes on mac computers, increase the density of trees on the old vegetation and improved UI.



If the game is crashing on mac for you, it is probably because the graphics settings are up too high.

If you can't reach the main menu to edit your graphics settings follow these steps.

1. Right click the game in your library.
2. Click properties.
3. Click Local Files.
4. Click Browse Local Files.
5. Open "RoL Crash Fix" and set all the quality settings to minimum.

Hello! Sorry it's been a while since the last update, i'm going to try and get an update out every 2-3 weeks in the future. Hope you like the update!

1. Added Bow (new weapon).

2. Lots of bug fixes.

3. new arms for the bow (to support better animations in future weapons)

4. fixed translations for a lot of the languages!
