-Unit customization is back.
-New hairs for male and female.
-Bug Fix: Party not gaining exp after winning a combat.
-Bug Fix: Player spawning too close to the inventory box.
-Bug Fix: Trader's inventory not updating.
-Bug Fix: Cities don't generate tax.
-Bug Fix: Cities don't refresh hire-able squads and quests.
-Bug Fix: Game crashes when entering Babin.
-Bug Fix: Money won't be updated when gambling.
-Bug Fix: Press escape to close the loot menu will bypass the prisoner ui.
-Bug Fix: Body texture and face texture doesn't match on the player character.
-Bug Fix: Armies not healing when in garrison.


In the next update we will bring some bigger maps back.

-Zone based combat map.(Combat terrain type follows the world terrain type)
-Added 1 desert map and 1 mountain map.
-Added option to disable hit-marker.
-Reduced AI sighting distance.
-Added female player voice.
-Faction flags redesigned.
-Added a few new flags.
-Bug Fix: AI armies prevent the player from clicking the city.
-Bug Fix: Pay passage fee is too low.
-Bug Fix: Blank missions.
-Bug Fix: Item details window cut in half on the right side of the screen.
-Bug Fix: Hit-marker not working in short distance.
-Bug Fix: Can see AI armies' info even when they are invisible on the map.
-Bug Fix: Take out weapon SFX isn't affected by SFX slider.
-Bug Fix: Shell casing bouncing SFX isn't affected by SFX slider.

-Female squad voice(will be activated when the first member of the squad is a female)
-Better sniper scope.
-Enemy spawns closer to the player during a combat(reduced combat map size)
-Added 1 more desert map.
-Added 1 more mountain map.
-Bug Fix: Enemy spawn in water.
-Bug Fix: After purchasing a building, the same building will appear in all other towns.
-Bug Fix: Player total kills statistic resets every time after load the game.
-Bug Fix: Need to pay your men every time after load the game.
-Bug Fix: Cheat reset player location function will pull you into the ocean.
-Bug Fix: LN91 T1 has no scope.

Hi everyone,

A couple of things we are working on for the V0.200 update are..
-More detailed terrain.
-Improved urban combat AI. Enemies will take advantage of urban covers.
-Redesigned town maps for better urban combat.
-Better combat AI and tactics.
-Improved scopes.
-Improved graphics.


We will announce and post more details when we are getting closer to the release. Which will take around 2 weeks from now.

Version 0.200 Test Branch Out!

Hi everyone,

We are almost done with V0.200 which gives a complete graphics and combat experience overhaul. We re-made all the maps, including all towns. We improved the time of day system(Realistic sky, lighting, fog, etc).We improved combat AI. Siege and defense combat is much more intense now because soldiers will take advantage of urban terrain(hiding in buildings, behind cover, making close combat possible). We also improved UI and weapon handling(Smoother feeling when aiming with sights).


While we are still working on it, we have just released the beta version of V0.200 and you can try it out now.

To Opt Into the Test branch.
Launch the Steam Client. Go to the LIBRARY tab. Right click on Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare and select Properties. Then click the BETAS tab. Then select "test-Test Version" from the drop-down and close the window. Then update the game and you are ready to go. You can opt out at any time to get the default version of the game.

Version 0.200 Out: Graphic overhaul, combat improvement and custom flag!
Freeman: Guerrilla Warfare - KK Game Studio





Hi everyone,

We have uploaded version 0.200. This update gives a complete graphics, maps and combat experience overhaul. We remade all game maps, including all the town maps(And more locations coming in future update!). We also refined combat AI, especially the siege/defence AI. Troops defending the town will take advantage of urban terrain and covers. We also added upload your own flag option.

To upload your own flags:
First create a new folder named "flags" and put the folder in C:/Users/User Name/AppData/LocalLow/KK Game Studio/Freeman_ Guerrilla Warfare/.
(If you cannot find this folder, it may be Hidden by default). Then put your flag images(.png format, size 256*190) in the flags folder and restart the game.

Major Changes:
-Much more detailed skirmish maps and town maps.
-More realistic lighting and beautiful skies.
-Improved gun handling.
-More aggressive world map AI(Enemy forces attack you more often).
-Improved UI.
-Garrison troops will automatically take defensive positions during a siege.
-Improved combat AI.
-Custom flag.

We have been busy working on V0.210 and here are a few highlights of this big update.

1. FPS Optimization.
2. Conquerable and manageable small locations. (farms, military camps, small industrial areas, etc)
3. More balanced world conquest. (Smoother campaign gameplay)
4. Saving/Loading time optimization.
5. More scopes.

The update will be ready in around one week.

Hi everyone,

We finally finished version 0.210. As FPS drops became more and more serious after update 0.200, we have decided to focus more on both graphical optimization and code structural optimization. This update cleared the road for future development.

Major Changes:
-Added 5 conquerable small locations(Factories, military camps, etc).
-More balanced campaign gameplay.
-Saving/Loading time optimization.
-FPS optimization.
-Added holographic sight.
-Bug Fix: Standing corpses.
-Bug Fix: Duplicated companions.
-Bug Fix: Neutral faction attacks you after you conquered a town.
-Bug Fix: Too many armies on the world map after load.
-Bug Fix: FPS drops significantly after long time play.
-Bug Fix: Sometimes cannot close the dialog when encountering enemies.

Note that due to the major changes in code structure, this update is not compatible with your previous saves. We are very sorry for the inconvenience.

Bug Fix: Some enemy squads will retreat if you press the retreat button.
Bug Fix: Acog scope on R3 rifle is not aligned.

-Bug Fix: Can hire more men than the party limit when you have injured units.

-Bug Fix: Player character goes to low resolution when opening inventory box during combat.
-Bug Fix: Running away enemy squads will result in leftover armies on the world map.

Patch Notes
-Bug Fix: Garrisoned units still spawn in front of enemy.
-Bug Fix: Garrison not showing up sometimes
-Bug Fix: If a squad retreats from combat, then you can no longer use that party during the next fight.
-Bug Fix: The garrison trying to flee but they can't move.
-Bug Fix: Amount of people in enemy squad shown wrong.
-Bug Fix: Time stops when resting in hotels.
-Bug Fix: Can over-limit squad members if have injured and add people from prisoners.
-Bug Fix: Party counter not shown correctly.
-Bug Fix: If press fast deployment, troops which were fleeing will re-deploy.
-Bug Fix: Completing the quest to deliver Troops to a Town, troops disappeared but limit of troops don't lower and they remain as unassigned.
-Bug Fix: Fleeing away enemies sit, not moving and then get killed.
-Bug Fix: Guns never have a full magazine at the beginning of the battle
-Bug Fix: Rifle silencer is not shaded red when equipping VIM sniper rifle while rifle itself is not compatible with silencer.
-Bug Fix: After entering the combat and while in the deployment phase, if you do nothing the battle will not start but your health bar will keep on replenishing
-Bug Fix: If select squads with selection box and ask them to follow me they will not follow.
-Bug Fix: After destroyed a faction, leftover squads will not be recognized as enemy.
-Bug Fix: VIM scope not aligned.
-Made a night map brighter.
