Buildings Individual Access Rights, IB reconnect, Character Customization and Transfer + More! (0.12.0.2)

First of all, we’re happy to announce that we have implemented the system that supports specific rules for each unmovable object. You can now give particular access rights for your gates, warehouses, houses and other buildings to individuals and/or groups of players. That should reduce risks of a betrayal for mass recruiting guilds.

Instant Battle reconnection functionality has also been implemented. If your client crashes while fighting in an IB, you can restart your client, enter the game with this character and you will be offered an opportunity to reconnect to the IB you have crashed in. We want to assure you that we’re constantly working on the stabilization of the IBs, additional layers of IB server DDoS protection and overall stability and performance of clients in IBs.

On top of this, we’ve added (re)customization of your characters, as well as character transfers (between worlds in the same region)!

Patch Notes (ver. 0.12.0.2):

New Features and Tweaks:
•   Implemented a system that supports specific access rules for each unmovable object on a claim - it can be accessed through interaction on a building ingame, or via the dashboard on our site while browsing through a list of assets on your claim
•   Implemented character recustomization and renaming premium feature - it can be accessed via the character selection menu within the game (disconnect from your game to see the character list)
•   Implemented character transfers between the game worlds in the same geographical region (EU, NA, CIS)
•   Instanced Battles reconnection feature implemented
•   A proper and formal warning about alignment loss before looting a grave has been implemented which should now only warn you when looting will result in alignment loss
•   Resurrection sickness massive rework: resurrection sickness stacks up, significantly reducing your HP with each stack - skill loss is increased significantly with each stacked resurrection sickness
•   Significant adjustments to categories of items and their prices while selling them to the Crown
•   Fixed incorrect logic on Trespasser abilities that were used by guilds, in a state of war, to drop the alignment of attackers - a passersby can no longer trigger the alignment loss
•   Monuments (both guild and private) gain full durability after successful maintenance (not during JH), which should fix issues with some guild and private monuments not receiving damage during JH while in an influence zone
•   No more claim restrictions for ‘Light the Wick’ and ‘Extinguish’ abilities

--- Horse tweaks---
•   Added a courier horse
•   Fixed quality formula of heavy horse creation
•   Horse training is now x2 faster
•   Training will be interrupted if player dismounts horse
•   Players cannot mount another horse while training is in progress
•   Increased max harvest size of the small stable
•   Anti-cavalry stationary pikes now cause damage to horses on impact

--- Poison related tweaks---
•   Antidotes no longer apply ‘full’ affect
•   Damage from poisons reduced by 10%
•   ‘Apply a Poison’ ability can be used in a combat stance
•   Magnitudes of antidotes and poisons are taken in account in all cases (antidote before poison, antidote after poison etc)

--- Luck mechanics reworked---
•   Max luck on a character is now capped at 100 (originally 12)
•   Luck bonus on jewelry is increased 5x- this will only work on newly crafted jewelry
•   Luck bonus from skills at lvl 100 of training are increased up to 10.
•   ‘Bless with a God's Love’ luck buff is increased to 8.5 (up to 10 on 100 lvl of the Piety skill)
•   5-ingredient foods now provide up to 10 luck
•   The chance to craft an exceptional item has increased from 0.01% to 0.1%
•   Herbal Gardens will now inform a player if there is something missing before planting
•   Hides in the tanning menu should no longer be visible if the character does not have the required skill
•   Some premium shop improvements
•   Deconstruct ability should work on unfinished private claim monuments
•   Primitive Hammer caps maximum quality of metal weapons and armors crafted with it (30 Q maximum)
•   The Believer's Knife can now be used to craft the Archer's Gear
•   The quantity of billets for Wooden wall recipes has been reduced:
-Wooden Wall (diagonal) billets 50 to 15
-Wooden Wall Defences billets 105 to 20
-Wooden Wall (loophole) billets 50 to 15
-Wooden Wall (diagonal, loophole) billets 50 to 15
-Wooden Wall with Stairs (loophole) billets 50 to 15
•   Pavise is now deployed with the proper angle of placement
•   Stone ammo (1107) damage multiplier increased from 0.31 to 0.64
•   Barrel ammo (1106) Damage multiplier increased from 0.3 to 0.6
•   Nail barrel ammo (1123) Damage multiplier increased from 0.15 to 0.3
•   Palisade shield and castle shield armor resistance lowered from 400 to 20

Bug Fixes and Optimizations:
•   Fixed a large amount of server node border crossing bugs - we believe this should fix most - if not all - of the issues that caused the loss of horses and carts while crossing server borders
•   Implemented a significant optimization for open world PvP battles on servers containing a lot of objects/buildings/trees - the more objects, the more significant the boost should be
•   Freezing while loading due to the broken inventory positions file has been fixed
•   Fixed an inventory bug, which caused inventory windows to be closed while other players were riding a horse cart nearby
•   Resurrection sickness bugs, which had the capability to be dodged by crashing after the death or removing the debuff with an “Argh!” ability, are now fixed
•   Optimized and fixed overall logic of how the hotbars work
•   Camera related crash when entering the person inspect mode (pressing V) is now fixed
•   Fixed spawn coordinates on one of the IB maps, which caused one side to spawn in an incorrect position
•   Fixed some blueprints that were bugged and not working
•   Added some more debug info on the client side, related to the inability to connect to some game servers
•   Fixed an issue where, when disconnecting from a server while sitting, character animations and controls would be messed upon reconnecting

Patch Notes (ver. 0.12.0.5):

New Features and Tweaks:
•   Removed increasing skill loss penalty while dying under the resurrection sickness debuff
•   Updated mature oak tree collisions so they can no longer form an impassable wall

Bug Fixes and Optimizations:
•   Fixed character transfer related error that caused some trouble with the dispatcher server
•   Added additional validation during the unit leader change process. That should fix an issue with IB crashes.
•   Fixed poisoned green vignette to not be visible
•   Fixed a bug where poison was not removed after death
•   Fixed a bug where some outfits would not provide their skill bonuses
•   Removed a random crash appearing during the disconnect procedure

We’ve addressed all known and reported cheat/hack scripts and console commands that we consider to be improper or gamebreaking, and expect that this should significantly improve the situation. Of course, there’s always a chance there’ll be some players doing their best to hack the game client - but we will always be doing our best to fix it.

You might also be interested in new arbalest and light crossbow skins that are available now.
We hope that you will like these tweaks and additions!

Patch Notes (ver. 0.12.3.1):

New Features and Tweaks:
•   Closed all known console commands and cheat scripts (including the aimbot) abuses
•   Updated Arbalest and Light Crossbow models and implemented skins for them
•   Appropriate character attributes should now raise even if a skill that was used is locked and does not raise
•   Added FOV and Particle Settings to the Video Options of the game
•   Damage inflicted to a horse now depends on the height it is falling from
•   Allied guild members can now damage movable objects on a claim - this is to counter movable objects that were brought and placed by attackers (and were invulnerable for defenders)
•   Movable objects in the Central City of Abella should decay properly now to prevent littering within the area
•   Abilities/Actions that you are unable to do on a claim/with an object is now grayed out in your context menu
•   You can no longer bring your trade cart onto foreign claims
--- Poison tweaks---
•   “Arghhhh!” Warcry should now remove poison effects - full effect from alcohol should be back too
•   Snake bite random event duration has been lowered from 60 to 30 seconds and an antidote should properly remove this effect now
•   The duration of poison effects now scale linearly from 30 to 60 seconds depending on the quality
•   Depending on its magnitude, poison will remove the following values per second:
•   HARD_HP by 0.05 to 0.55 "Poisoned"
•   SOFT_HP by 0.075 to 0.825 "Poisoned: Numb"
•   HARD_STAMINA by 0.2 to 1.1"Poisoned: Grave Weight"
•   SOFT_STAMINA by 0.25 to 2.75 "Poisoned: Lungs of Stone"
•   Decrease these stats for the period of the duration:
•   SOFT_HP by 1.8 to 19.8 "Poisoned: Eternal Sleep"
•   SOFT_STAMINA by 2.6 to 28.6 by "Poisoned: Breathtaker"
•   Updated Alchemist Lab, Brewing Tank and a number of other unmovable object models
•   Updated and corrected some character’s outfits and armor models
•   A couple of fixes and tweaks dedicated to the improvement of the newcomers’ experience
on Newbie islands

Bug Fixes and Optimizations:
•   Fixed an exploit that allowed players to reconnect faster than allowed and also perform combat logging
•   Fixed Instanced Battle inventory bugs
•   Fixed a bug with the Instanced Battle interface windows showing wrong button states in some cases
•   Chat messages informing about exceptional items crafted now provide correct quality information
•   You can no longer get the crafting skill increase while being hit while wearing the crafting outfit
•   Fixed an issue that prevented you from getting 100Q crop harvests
•   You can no longer try to repair Throwable weapons

(Patch) First Major Hotfix (0.13.2.4)
6 July

We dropped some hotfixes on Friday and Saturday right after deploying the First Major Patch to the EU region worlds, and with the current patch, we plan to hotfix the rest of the major issues. If nothing else is found after this patch, we plan to release this version to the NA region worlds as well.

Patch Notes (ver. 0.13.2.4):

New Features and Tweaks:
•   Unfinished outpost building sites now take significantly longer to decay and disappear
•   Uprooting stumps will give at least Q10 mineral catalysts and billets
•   Castle fortification damage resistance boosted
•   Players should no longer be able to pour soil on the ground and cut trees on the protected lands (around the newbie island village and native’s camps)
•   Only players with ‘Can Destroy’ rights can dismantle decorative objects on claims
•   (Guest Invite) codes for transfer on claims has been removed temporarily
•   ‘Maintain Equipment’ ability is now allowed in the arena
•   Weapon tooltips slightly improved
•   IB loot container’s visual size significantly increased
•   Personal timers on horses are now properly ignored during JH
•   Closed console commands that enabled players to force the connection to the game servers, which would break the normal connection sequence (this caused all types of bugs after it was used) - please contact support with your log files if you have problems connecting

Bug Fixes and Optimizations:
•   Fixed excessive durability damage to weapons and armor
•   Fixed doubled stamina drains while sprinting in game
•   Fixed some arena and IB connection issues
•   Objects selection algorithm adjusted so that it should be significantly easier to select and interact with movable objects in the game
•   Fixed horse mount and dismount animations that were not working properly
•   Fixed a server side arena crash
•   Shader cache usage algorithm fixed, which should decrease freezes while loading the world during the connection
•   Death window with your active insurance information and skill loss calculations was fixed
•   Removed a bug that allowed players to release a horse in the arena in certain situations
•   Optimized server side calculations to prevent excessive lag in some cases (both in IBs and open world)
•   Fixed ground cover related client side crashes
•   Some localization text fixes

Announcement #158 2nd Wave of Fixes for the First Major Update (0.13.5.0)

This patch is devoted to minor fixes as well as some tweaks and optimizations that we believe are necessary.

We also want to share that we’ve received a lot of feedback from our players on the Arena feature - we’ve taken the suggestions on board and are working on implementing some of these changes and also some fine-tuning that is needed. One of the features (queue size) is already dropping in this patch! The Global Arena queue and Team Arenas are in development (no ETA at the moment, but we will keep you up-to-date!).

We’ve also added additional logging and debugging into the code, to be better able to track and check a guild’s rating calculation algorithm. We want to make sure that guild ratings are as close to the real value of the guild as possible.

And lastly, we’ve also introduced a rather major optimization to the server side calculations; the results should be quite noticeable in crowded battles! But the fight is not over yet - the process of optimization is a constant and endless process that we’re continually working hard on.

Patch Notes (ver. 0.13.5.0):

New Features and Tweaks:
•   Added information about an arena’s queue while player is waiting in said queue
•   Added designated PvP battlegrounds on Newbie Islands
•   Players are unable to upgrade their guild’s monument for 7 real life days from it downgrading after an IB defeat
•   Implemented an option to ring the decorative bell towers
•   Export of Flux and Flavour between worlds is now allowed
•   ‘Stone Wall with Inverted Stairs’ and ‘Stone Wall with Stairs’ recipes now require the same amount of resources
•   You can no longer use Baromsag to improve the quality of precious stones
•   Warehouse/wooden warehouse space limit increased (5000->15000) - Large Warehouse limit increased (15000->50000)

Bug Fixes and Optimizations:
•   Unmovable objects’ individual access rules are fixed and should now work properly
•   Implemented two major physics and horse related optimizations that should minimize the amount of lag in crowded open world areas and IB battles
•   Certain effects (armor type effects, premium effects etc) are no longer removed upon entering the arena or respawning after dying in the arena
•   Fixed a couple of arena-related crashes
•   Fixed a small lag spike at the end of each crop and forest growth iterations
•   Fixed some client crashes related to distant lands rendering
•   Guild lands should now be properly updated with a monument upgrade
•   You can no longer bury the Ferryman with terraforming actions on the Newbie Islands
•   Viscount and Viscountess should now be able to declare IBs on enemies
•   Premium titles should now be properly passed across the server node borders and should not disappear
•   Fixed influence radius information in the guild monument window
•   Incorrect calculation of blueprint chances during the carpentry abilities has been fixed
