Great battle. The fog of war and courier system in HITS mode is excellent in this game. It caused a lot of confusion and delays for me.
Colbert faced the majority of the enemy. He is a great general   :notworthy

Differently from Wednesday I decide to have our forces   marching parallel one to each other with a frontage of three miles, I think.

This was to have the possibility of a quick support from the centre to a flank or the reverse also.

Colbert was commanding a corps made of two infantry division and three heavy batteries. He formed our left. Left centre was composed by Morand infantry division and Guyot cavalry division. On his right, Friant infantry and Lefebvre-Desnuottes cavalry division. On the extreme right Asid with an infantry division.

We start on the south east corner of the map and the objective was a town in NE.

After 45 minutes of march Colbert was stopped by two enemy infantry division. When he reported this I shifted Morand and the cavalry to support his right flank.

In front of Morand was Picton's division, don't remember who was in front of Colbert. Anyway it was a very intensive fight.

In the meantime, Asid reported enemy in front of him with lot of cavalry.

At this point the game crash (power failure due to thunderstorm over Colbert house)

I managed to restart the game but I forgot to place again the objective so when we restarted it seems the AI had only one idea in mind: to destroy Colbert!

Enemy in front of Asid disappears quickly.
I thought they were withdrawing north east.

Me and Colbert were still fighting in the west and when the enemy was near to be destroyed I left Colbert with orders to finish the job while I was moving to northeast.

After fifteen minutes of march I saw some enemy troops in the distance that seemed to move towards Colbert.

I thought they were the enemies already beaten trying to regrouping. But it was only a moment...

Colbert wrote me that he was facing a lot of cavalry (Brunswick division) and a new fresh division (Cole) so I immediately turn back to came in his help.

I also recall Friant and the cavalry because at that point Morand infantry had suffered a lot of casualties and was fatigued. Friant and Morand should had move to the left enemy flank.

I also recall Asid to move in Colbert aid moving from south.

I started my attack on the enemy left flank with Morand while Colbert was holding the hill in front of them. The enemy also had a lot of heavy batteries!

I attacked hard because I had to put pressure on the enemy to attract his reserve on the flank. I know Friant was closer than Asid so it was better the enemy push on my side.

But after a while i suspected something was going wrong. I kept looking on my rear seeing no Friant nor cavalry.

Morand infantry collapsed and I had no more reserve.

At that point I saw Asid's vanguard coming from SE.

I ordered him to change his destination in order to hit the enemy from east instead of south because at that point he should have more room to deploy east.

I ran back to find Friant and cavalry and I understood why they never come. They were blocked by Brunswick infantry division and were fighting to open the road to the west. I took the control of this situation.

It was quite hard fight but mostly was time consuming so the battle end and I wasn't able to make Friant and the cavalry join Colbert and Asid.
