Waterloo, analysis of a battle that should not be fought. All the fault of the defeat suffered in Waterloo, it was the fault of Napoleon, the mistakes made by his generals, are second-rate. Why, Napoleon wanted at all costs that unfortunate battle The British wanted to get to Brussels to embark for England.Grouchy, however, would have engaged the Prussians and kept away from the British. If he had not attacked, and would have waited, he would have had all the forces integral to the appearance of the Prussians. Even if united the English and the Prussians, they would not have had (perhaps) the courage to attack Napoleon knowing that Grouchy could have come to him from Wavre. For this, I say that Waterloo should not be fought, or wait the day after that, the English would not leave Mont-Saint-Jean to get to Brussels as Wellington had decided.
It would be a pleasure for your participation in the discussion. Thanks
