About This Game

Next Day: Survival is a multiplayer SURVIVAL game with RPG elements, which takes place in a fictional post-Soviet state, most of whose territory is contaminated by toxic fog. The main task of the player is to survive while improving their character using skills, interaction with the outside world, other players, and non-player characters (NPC). As the game progresses, the character earns a reputation, thanks to which he/she has the option to join various factions of survivors, each with their own strengths and weaknesses.

Hello everyone!

Our team is preparing another update, which will fix a large amount of bugs. We’ve also added several innovations.

Here are the main innovations:
1) Reassignment of control keys;
2) Updated list of servers with filters and search by name;
3) 6 new quests for the "Looters" faction.

Also we will publish a huge list of various fixes pretty soon. Cases with unpunished killing with a grenade in the camp won’t happen again.

Now we’ve started the basic testing of the update and tomorrow we’ll announce the release date.

[Bug fixes]
1) Fixed a bug when the message "Very low health" was displayed at the slightest injury;
2) Fixed a bug when the game crashed if you click "Exit" while on the server;

Hello! Currently, our team is working on the upcoming update that is scheduled for mid-September, this update will be the largest ever.

List of main innovations:
1) New location "Primorye".
2) The system of cancellation of actions (use of objects, interaction, etc.).
3) A new branch of quests to reset the reputation to neutral (for all factions but traitors).
4) Three new models of weapons: XM8 LMG, AKS-74U, Pistol Yarygin.
5) Improved melee system, now there's no need to aim accurately at the scope.
6) Possibility to choose a settlement for respawn after the death of the character.

This list is not complete, some more important mechanics and a lot of small fixes are in development, we'll tell about them later.

Hello everyone! The work on the game's in full swing. As you know, already in the first quarter of 2018 we're planning to leave the early access. To do that, we need to do plenty of work on the bug fixing as well as on the new mechanics/content.

We actively check all the bug reports that you send to us, and fix them. In the upcoming update, there'll also be a huge bug fix and new content. Location "Primorye" will have its own quest line, that is mostly concerned with military men. Also we're working on the location "Death Swamp", that is most likely be a small DLC with its own quest line, new items, weapons and additional underground location.

Right now, our basic goals are optimizatiom and bug fixing.

Hello there! First, we want to apologize that there hasn't been any news for a long time. Right now, we've started testing another update, which will be released during the first week of December. The update is interim and it'll contain lots of fixes and some mechanics you've asked for.

As you know, the release of the game is planned for February 2018, we’ll make at least two large updates by that time which will contain: new mode "The last survivor", location "Dead Swamp" and a range of new game items like weapons and outfit. We’re also planning to rebalance the loot and the store, we’ll tell you more about it later.

Here’s the approximate list of the upcoming update:

2) Fixed the bug when the process of skills learning wasn't updated after the character’s respawn.

Hello! We are glad to announce that today we have released pretty big update that is scheduled to the upcoming release of the game from early access.

This update is not as big as we planned, some things had to be postponed. However we managed to finish the main update- the new mode "Last Survivor".

A few words about the new mode: the main thing is to remain the last survivor in the zone, which gradually fills with a toxic fog. During the match you can earn experience, thanks to which the level of your character gradually increases. Players who take 5-1 places receive a reward, game items that can be used in the next matches. The player who took the first place can pick up any five items that he managed to collect in the current match.

As we’re moving on to the release version, we had to zero out some data on all accounts: storages and money. This is due to the large number of vulnerabilities found (dupes and others during the early access). Earlier we warned about this. Thank you for understanding.

1) Fixed a bug when the character was dealt damage after exiting the swimming stater, if he fell into water before that.
2) Fixed a bug when the grenades did not sink and stayed on top of the water.

First of all I would like to inform you that the game will remain in the Early Access for a while.

As you may know, yesterday we released an update that many of you did not like. We understand that this new game mode does not completely convey the point of our game and you were waiting for the evolution of the main mode. At the moment we are polishing new location named Dead Marshes. Take a look on screenshots below. The size of new location is similar to Primorye map. We are preparing about 20 unique quests which tells a story of group of scientists who have been investigating the reason of catastrophe and where toxic fog comes from.

In the factions settlements you will meet fighters in new reinforced armor sets and a chance to loot a part of that armor (if you find out how to kill one of them) as well as the key to the iron safe that will appear somewhere in these settlements.

We are also changing balance of the game items. Some good weapons will be removed from the game store but the ammunition will remain.

Most recently, we have prepared several new animal models that will be added soon.

Hello everybody!

Friends, first of all we want to highlight the issue that occured right after the latest update. From time to time the game crashes with the error "Memory can not be read\write." It arose after the game engine update and it is partly fixed already.We apologize for the long decision, it will soon all work as expected!

To the good news.Our team is actively working on preparing a large update, which contains new quests, location and a lot of new clothes for the characters. Work on the location is almost done and next week we are preparing some game’s elements for it.

Well, today we will release a small update, which will bring a number of long-awaited fixes and changes:

UPDATE: [06/03/2018]
[Changes]
1) Updated visual effects (vfx) when hitting different surfaces (metal, wood, stone, water);
2) Updated effect of flying bullets;
3) Improved synchronization of sounds and steps’ animation;
4) Reduced the speed of fog movement in the "Last survivor" mode;
5) Added a special message in the “Last Survivor” mode that informs about the required number of players and the timer before the automatic start of the match;
6) The system of damage in the "Last Survivor" mode has been improved. Now the damage from toxic fog depends on the time of the match. At the first narrowing, the fog will cause a small amount of damage, but the closer the end, the more damage and toxicity the player will receive;
7)The firearm now is not given as a reward in the "Last survivor" mode. Only the winner can take the weapons from the current match and use it in the next one;
8) Now the reward like items (except firearms) is obtained by all players in the "Last survivor" mode. The higher the place you occupied, the more items you will receive. Minimal reward: 1 item. Maximum: 5 items;
9) Improved landing of the character in the water, added effects of splashing water;
10) Improved tree shader. Now the trees and bushes look more bushy and smooth;
11) Updated shot sounds for: RPD, SVD, AKMS / AKM, AK-12, AK-74, GALIL, USAS-12, RPK, AKN, PP 1901, VSS, AUG, M4A1, AS VAL, XM8 LMG;
12) Updated effect of the grenade explosion.

[Fixes]
1) Fixed a bug when voice communication stopped working;
2) Fixed a bug when the LOD levels at the doors were closed, whereas when you’re near the door is open;
3) Fixed a bug when the match in the "Last survivor" mode did not start;
4) Fixed a bug when was thrown back to the menu after loading the scene in the "Last survivor" mode;
5) Fixed a bug when the notification of the number of remaining players popped up, even when searching for players in the "Last survivor" mode;
6) Fixed one of the errors that could cause memory leaks thus the game was crashed;
7) Fixed a bug when players could fall under the water and move there;
8) Fixed a bug when you could crawl under the water;
9) Fixed a bug when duplicate game servers could be displayed;
10) Fixed bug when NPCs became immortal;
11) Fixed a bug when NPCs did not react to players during the fight;
12) Fixed a bug when NPCs were obsessed with recharging weapons;
13) Fixed a bug when the map window wasn’t opened if you click on the active quest window (if there were no active quests);
14) Fixed a bug when you could crawl very quickly.

[Innovations]
1) Added the ability to sell and buy game items in the "Last survivor" mode (the purchase of firearms is impossible);
2) Added new crosshairs: "dot", "small cross" and hidden (without crosshair). The choice of the crosshair is made in the settings menu;
3) Added the sound of a toxic fog when approaching in the "Last survivor" mode

Hello, friends! Currently, our team is working on the upcoming update that contains a lot of fixes and content. We’re also concentrated on the problems that are connected with the game’s crashes. In the upcoming weeks we will upload the game with the new location to the beta branch and everyone that want it will have an opportunity to take part in testing. Hi everyone! The next update is uploaded to the servers, It's brought plenty of new things into the game and also fixes! We suggest you to watch a trailer released specially for this event.

Several previous updates were not that successful and some players had lost their interest in the game, we really apologize for this. We completely revised the development plan and focused on developing the main game mode, in the near future we will release another update with a lot of new content!

Unfortunately, we did not manage to finish the work on the quests for the location of "Dead swamp" and not to delay the release of the whole update decided to transfer this task to the next update.

Friends! After the previous update, many players reacted very negatively to the new "Last Survivor" mode, which is only a small addition to the main mode, writing a lot of negative reviews about the game.

If you like the game, please write a review about it in the Steam store. This is very important for us and will greatly help us in the promotion and further development. Thank you for being with us!

UPDATE [04/05/2018]
[Innovations]
1) Added a new location "Dead swamp".
2) Added a new mini-location "Catacombs".
3) Added safes with various valuable items. To open them you will need special keys that can be found in the game world or bought from the merchants.
4) Added some new items:
   Clothing:
   1. Armor helmet 'Altyn' in two colors (black and green) with visor and without.
   2. Helmet "Peacemaker".
   3. Uniform of a soldier (camouflage and digital flora).
   4. Militia shirt with a bulletproof vest.
   5. Tactical pants (narrow and wide).
   6. Suit UKB-1 (Reinforced armor-1). Powerful equipment consists of the following elements: Helmet, jacket, pants, gloves, exoskeleton.
To wear this uniform, you need to collect all the elements and alternately put on the character, the last thing you put on is an exoskeleton.
To operate the costume, a reactor battery is required, which is installed in an exoskeleton.
In working order (when all parts of the suit are worn and the battery charge is not less than 5%), the suit provides a lot of advantages: increased damage in close combat, increased protection from external damage, light aiming and so on.
With a discharged battery, the character management becomes less convenient. You can not run, turns become slow and awkward. Note that in addition to the charge indicator there is an overheating indicator, which depends on the external damage received, after overheating, emergency cooling will work, as a result of which you lose part of the charge and the suit becomes inactive for a while.
A suit without an exoskeleton equipped has some protective characteristics, but half that of an exoskeleton.
In the store, this costume cannot be bought, only to be found in parts in the game world.

13) Added blood sprays in new variations when hitting a firearm.

[Changes]
1) The controller of the camera is improved, bugs are fixed, under which the camera constantly got into walls, roofs and other colliders.
1) Now for the automatic start of the match in the "Last Survivor" mode, 4 players are required, the match start timer is increased to 5 minutes and is not updated when new players are connected. This means that as soon as 4 players are typed, in 5 minutes the match will begin.
2) Now when the inventory is closed, it disappears less smoothly, thereby correcting some problems and artifacts upon reopening.
3) Improved display of pop-up messages, increased speed of appearance and reduced speed of disappearance.
4) The shooting system of the conventional gauss gun is redesigned: the effects of the shots are updated, the speed of shooting is increased, the ammunition is increased to 30.
5) Now cough with toxicity appears, if the criticality of poisoning is 25% or higher.
6) Improved system of rocking weapons when aiming, reduced speed and radius of movement.

[AI NPC]
1) Now NPCs do less damage when hit in the head.
2) Balance is made in NPC settlements, accuracy of shooting is reduced, NPS with low level of complexity are added.
3) Increased the damage of cold weapons by NPS by 2 times.
4) Fixed a bug where NPCs rebounded very quickly.
5) Fixed a tank that did not show objects in the inventory of the killed NPC.
6) Added a possibility to hit with a rifle.
7) The system of spawning settlements has been improved. Fixed errors of incorrect initialization of settlements, as a result of which there could have appeared not clad NPCs or NPS in T-poses.
8) The sounds of NPC steps are added.

[Corrections]
1) Fixed the main situations that caused the error "Memory cannot be read".
2) Fixed a bug where the animation of opening the door in the reclining position was played.
3) Fixed bugs, where you could climb into the fireplace, on the railing and the window (a house with a merchant in Dyatlovo).
4) Fixed a bug where it was impossible to sell weapons added in the last update.
5) Fixed a bug where crash occurred if you quit the game immediately from the game world.
6) Fixed a bug where the blood particles were not correctly displayed during bleeding.
7) Fixed a bug where particles of blood when hit by enemies ceased to be displayed.
8) Fixed a bug where you could get out of the half-squat in low places.
9) Fixed a bug where the backpack was missing if it was worn immediately after removing the backpack.
10) Fixed a bug where the corpses of characters fell through after the unloading of the location sectors.
11) Fixed a bug in the "Last survivor" mode, in which a parachute flight broke, if the character was sitting in front of him.
12) Fixed a bug where the battery interface of the flashlight battery did not disappear after the death of the character.
13) Fixed a duff of objects when dropping a backpack.
14) Fixed a bug where objects in containers did not spawn.
15) Fixed a bug where animals did not react to the player next to the bushes.
16) Fixed a bug where you could shoot during crawling.
17) Fixed a bug where animals could not move and lost the animation of receiving damage, if they are attacked from several sides.
18) Fixed a bug where players could shoot through some of the colliders.
