About This Game

Exciting and fast paced gameplay
You will command a myriad of period units including infantry, cavalry, and artillery. Gettysburg: the Tide Turns goes beyond the "you go, I go" turn by randomizing when each division will move. £6.99 on Steam.

I usually get direct from Matrix as you get the standalone game + Steam key (if on steam). Sometimes the price is higher though.

Yeah, I did get the Kursk game, but I traded it in for this. The Kursk game was supposed to have a campaign, but looked like it still had three single missions. I'll probably get it later.

Battle Hymn: The Tide Turns (or whatever it should be called ;) ), still has some bugs to tweak out, as of my test play this morning, mainly having to do with showing newly active units (instead of centering on the map as current, requiring you to scroll around or next-click cycle to find them) and opponent-bombarding units (which the game's camera totally ignores). The upper map edge doesn't scroll either. The sounds abruptly dropped out about 4 turns in and refused to come back without a reload, too.

These are sloppy for a game that has been in development for three years, but they're fixable and don't break anything. As an adaptation, more or less, of a board game coming out this year, it's a nice system.

- Fixed AI freeze during advance
- Fix rally bug for units during Turn 13
- Clicking on reinforcement icon now properly centers the camera

Gettysburg: The Tide Turns Version 1.04 is now LIVE

Hi all!

Gettysburg: The Tide Turns has been updated to version 1.04! We have fixed some recurring bugs and changed the game saves folder.

Check out the full changelog below!

Changelog:

- Singleplayer Campaign game can now be continued even if an early victory is achieved
- Fixed victory screen sometimes showing the wrong outcome
- Fixed Tournament scoring
- Fixed AI crash where it didn't have any available rally moves
- Fixed MP freeze where two units would overlap
- Changed save folder to c:\Users\<user name>\Documents\My Games\Gettysburg TTT\ (game will copy the old saves on the first run)
- Fixed Calendar not reporting entry hexes correctly

Gettysburg: The Tide Turns - v1.05 Update

The Tide Turns is being upgraded to version 1.05. It is a minor one, consisting of some tweaks and fixes.

You can download it from the Members' Area.

Changelog:

- Fixed USA AI freeze when no more objs to defend
- Fixed MP crash where a enemy unit would sometimes spawn out of the map and freeze the game
- Fixed MP bug where victory checks would show wrong info
