Will be played 18 GMT

Yesterday I had immense amount of fun with my friend Mika. With who I played a private game.

More might follow today night. But to this I welcome more players.

A word of warning though. Mission is going to be played casually in most relaxed mood. Still aiming for realism. This. Means following. No bitching if something sucks. Aim for team to have fun. This is not for you but for all participants. Be flexible. Otherwise   :beatings

Mission I'm looking for is mission I made for Dow long time ago. Called "dictators fate." I will add link to old briefing later on... This if I get enough people's to come. Also I will likely update starting time.

Your task right now is to say a word if you're interested playing today night under my sadistic control. Be warned. Suspicious, and uncomfortable positions are mandatory. And I accept no whining if it hurts... Cause that's what's going to happen.

Sincerely your bicthy Lumi

Updates are to come. Say a word and Follow if interested.

Dictators fate by Lumi

This scenario is a simulation and does not have any political message.

Mission Summary :
Nolanian Dictator has asked some very delicate help from Dogs of war on his attempt to escape.

Map

Excerpts of the battalion commander's  orders for...BLUEFOR

1) SITUATION:

a) Enemy:
Nolanian military forces, their equipment is mainly old western or eastern.

b) Own:
One platoon of tanks, and platoon of IFVs

c) Attachments and detachments:
1 Chinook cargo helicopter
2 Apaches as protection for Chinook

2) MISSION:
Current Nolanian dictator Mosabi, is afraid of takeover, from army high commander Vassad, and has asked us to secure his escape to exile.
He will bring us evidence that is needed to bring them both to justice, of crimes made. Vassad is likely going to do anything to prevent this from happening, so prepare for the worst.

3) EXECUTION:
15th of May 2016, at 15:30 local time task force Alpha will push into Nolania
First: Taking control of Civilian airfield, and securing it safe to land for transport helicopter.

Then Moving to near city of Erminez, taking overwatch positions facing the city and waiting contact with convoy.

Here comes tricky part. - 16:00 of local time dictator Mosabi, and evidence will be in route that will pass city of Erminez, and is supposed to continue to other city. But instead, will differ to our direction, and then we will secure that convoy gets safely to airfield. Do not be late from that meeting!

Reason for armored escort is that - Nolania has invested a lot to modern air defences during last years so we cannot use air units on this mission before we get out of reach of their air defences.

Roads and terrain in Nolania are in bad condition, so especially trucks have maximum speed of 40km per hour. - And they do not want to stop. Mosabi is Afraid that Vassad will send entire army after him once defection is discovered. - And be warned Vassad has been suspicious already. We are truly having a hot potato on our hands.

Once convoy is on the move. - Secure that it gets safely to Civ airport. - Group of Choppers should be there by then waiting for convoy to be mounted up.
When Helicopters have safely got on their way, retreat back over border as soon as possible.

Good luck!

Do not be late.

This is most casual mission. Ill give people what they want...  But I wont be editing this for long.

ATM...  we will have
Challenger 2s
Bmp2s
Cv9040bs

and I think... I will put there Leopard 2a4s instead of seps or 2a5s Who nees that commander thermal anyways ;)

interesting mix of vehicles ;)

I will adjust enemy equipment downwards a little bit to balance this... last time we had such rough time even with Seps and 2Es.

After yesterday. I felt a little too optimistic about the steelbeast and went to try to comman AI platoon with overhead view. First tank one...  then IFV one.

And well...   all I can say Steelbeast still has so many features that make such way of commanding troops pointless.

Heres few to mention...

Dismount a squad of infantry near enemy ones...  and they all get slaughtered... while the IFV sits there idly not reacting to situation at all...

Your vehicles may spend hours obsessed in attemp to fire enemy vehicle they can see but still do not fire..  they just try to???   like wtf..

use all kind of funky commands to tell your units to engage forces at location X.. and they still dont manage to do anything.

(AT Infantry with shoot unit this works nicely agaisnt vehicles though.. )

and all kind of other funky stuff...   of not finding cover etc..    true.. I kind of have more controll than with players but still..

yesterday. Just with radio..  I was fairly aware of situation.. and I could count you guys being interested if not even being trigger happy and creative to engage enemy units.

You    /  vs  moron AI...         id still choose you guys any day.
