Digging For The Battle of Waterloo

Published on 4 Mar 2016

In 1815, Napoleon Bonaparte faced the Duke of Wellington and his European allies at Waterloo. Wellington’s victory ended Napoleon’s rule. And settled the fate of modern Europe. 200 years later an international team of archaeologists travelled to Waterloo – and for the FIRST time - began to excavate the battlefield. They’re hoping to reveal how one farmyard was pivotal to the outcome of the battle.
