The King or the Parliament? Choose your side and take command of the Cavaliers armies or the Roundheads and the Covenanters. From Scotland to Dover, from Wales to Kent the counties raise their regiments to defend the King or Parliament. To remain neutral is not a choice. Manage your resources, your loyalty, your best leaders, choose your strategy and take control of key cities. Became familiar with legendary places like Bristol, York, Arundel, Nantwich, Reading, Oxford,…. Put them under siege or defend them sending a relief army or just find the enemy at the gates of York.

With a detailed selection of the historical units of the conflict you will find the Covenanters, Newcastle’s whitecoats, Cromwell’s Ironside’s, the new model Army or the Cornish legendary infantry. Players can build and manage their armies, throughout the campaigns set in the various theaters of operations like Yorkshire, Cheshire, Lancashire, Bristol, Lincolnshire, etc…. Ageod's unique system of detailed strategic representation of this era's conflicts makes the difference here your decisions will determine if you can win or become defeated.

A set of unique commanders with historical portraits and traits like the Royalist Byron, Prince Rupert, Hopton, Newcastle, King Charles or the Parliamentarians: Essex,Thomas Fairfax, Waller,Cromwell, the Earl of Leven help you in achieving your objectives giving a unique feeling of being in command in those key days of 1642.

On the developer's request, I have uploaded the release candidate of the next English Civil War update on the AGEOD forum.

If you don't want to test it but you are interested in what is about to change, here is the list for the upcoming patch:

-- Some text Issues fixed.
-- Logbatch consumes a lot of memory issue fixed.
-- Leaders dont recover their stats after forming a group fixed.
-- Patch number does not show up fixed.
-- Issue regarding the construction of troops. Fixed, now you can build in the regions you have loyalty over 51% and if you have the assets needed.
-- Reg Southminster tooltip now shows ‘Clear’.
-- More WS for the Parliamentarian. Some structures generates more WS each turn.

English Civil War >> ECW 1.03RC Patch Released


Hi Everyone,
Here is the next update for English Civil War. Before we release it officially, we have made some test but we would need willing volunteers to give it a go as with 1.02 and confirm it works, and nothing is broken.

PLEASE NOTE: this is not an official Matrix installer. It merely unpacks the files to your installed game directory, so please make sure that you have selected the correct directory when running this file.

1.03 can be installed over the game without patches or with 1.01 or 1.02 installed.
Previous games probably wont run properly

•   New Exe file fixing huge log issue
•   Some changes made in map (Surrey added)
•   Fixed Issue regarding Storm RGD
•   Bradford Region is unblocked when Fairfax event is fired
•   Changed several texts errors.
•   Fixed Issue duplicating ‘The Queen’ event in log
•   Fixed Issue regarding ‘no Nato symbol’ for Scottish cavalry
•   Fixed Issue regarding ‘Basing House appears as '0' in a message as a siege’
•   Fixed issue in Option ‘Commissioners to Scotland’
•   Fixing issue regarding ‘Argyll has no picture (in the separate window listing his properties)’
•   ‘Recruit soldiers among prisoners doesn't Works’ is fixed
•   Farnham castle event now gives 10 Money and 5 WS
•   Assessment Tax option now gives 100 Money
•   Fixed Issue ‘Req Offices are destroyed after some battles.’
•   Southern Assoc can buy replacements now
•   Massey event twice in log, fixed
•   Wales Frontier has been redone
•   Pwilloughby appears as Essex and without Biography, fixed.

ECW 1.03a RC Patch Update (12/09/17)

Hi Everyone,

Its just a Beta Release prior to the Official one. In fact its almost the previous patch with just minor fixes. Some regions have changed names following some expert help.

The intention is to give it a small test and release later as official.

Regarding other issues detected we are working on them and also Im aware of the WS debate and other regarding terrain.

All this stuff will be treated in a future patch, not in this last.

We will continue working on ECW and as well on TYW during this Autumm.
