I wouldnt be able to fly this Saturday due to another commitment. However I dont have Falcon anyway but am interested in getting into it. Its one of those sims that I just kinda missed. When it came out my PC couldnt handle it & when I upgraded PCs there were what I thought better options but I have always been interested in it.

I hate to put you out but could you make a detailed post on what is needed to get started complete with links? It would be a good sticky for drawing new blood. I understand there are a number of patches & mods so looking for a Falcon for dummies kinda primer on getting the most current version running.

I am fairly knowledgeable on aircraft systems so dont think it will take me terribly long to get up to speed once I get started.

Many thanks

You can't sticky everything.

The video is comprehensive.

I wish people would actually read some of the posts made on this forum.....  ::)

I have been asking people here for a while how i could help them get better in the sim. i'd love to help you with anything you need. the video asid linked is a very good start, althougth it is a bit outdated. on the BMS forums (https://www.bmsforum.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?29-Releases-amp-Updates) theres posts about how to install it, get the 4.33.1 version then you need to incremently upgrade to 4.33.3. If you run into any trouble feel free to PM me and i will be happy to help. I'd love to help you get set up and trained.

Also after you've sucssesfully installed the game you can always check the documentation folder in your installation folder (also acssasiable througth the launcher) for guides, cockpit diagrams, airport diagrams and other usefull stuff. On top of these there's Kraus's youtube channel, he's got a playlist with a bunch of great tutorials covering almost everything to a basic level, asweel as some pretty awsome stuff from the UOAF cummunity, watching these videos and reading some of the manuals is how i learned...

Good luck and fly safe!

Yes I have seen your postings but have stayed away from it just because of a lack of time. I dont have any more time now then before but I do have a desire to get into it anyway :)

I just downloaded ver4.33U1, 4.33U2 & 4.33U3 updates.

Any suggestion on where to get Falcon? Is it better to buy the disc off ebay & run it stand alone or get it off Steam?

this flight was compleatly disorgenized, and i take full responsebility for that.
it was a 2ship AI but i didn't give us enougth fuel and we only managed to take out 2 tanks, then BEEF made it to base with a few hundred pounds of fuel left...
next time i'll be sure to make some fuel calculations and set the target before the strike, so this doesn't happen again.

It's fairly simple but may be helpful.
