DOW Chinook Rescue V1

Mission summary:
There is a friendly Chinook down to the North. Combat team DOW must secure and extract the members of the helicopter back to the FOB. Enemy US mechanized armor battalion is moving in to seize the FOB, and capture the helicopter crash site. Time is not on your side, and you are out numbered. Defend well and hurry. They are on the way!!

SITUATION:
   a) Enemy:
   US Army Battalion – consisting of M1A2, M3A2, and M2A2 platoons, is moving to capture the survivors of our helicopter crash, and seize our forward operating base at the coast. The enemy has artillery and air support.

   b) Own:
   DOW combat team consisting of 2 platoons of challenger 2, 3 platoons of Leo 2A5A2-DK, 1 platoon of Leo 2E, and 2 platoons of CV90/30-FI with support units is set at the forward operating base, and is tasked with its defense, and the rescue of the downed helicopter.

   c) Attachments and detachments: 2 troop trucks to pick up helicopter members.

MISSION:
Combat team DOW will move to hasty defensive positions to repel enemy forces, and secure the downed helicopter crew, end extract them to the forward operating base.

EXECUTION:

Intent: Combat team DOW must defend the FOB, rescue the downed helicopter members, and extract them to the FOB.

   a) Concept of Operation:

      i) Maneuver:

      ii) Fires:
      4 batteries with 6 tubes each with HE, Smoke, and ICM available. 4 Airstrikes.

      iii) Additional assets:
      None

Time Limit: 60-120 Mins

Support: Smoke, HE, ICM, and Airstrikes

This mission should be interesting. There most likely will be two different areas of operation going on in this mission. Also you will be going against US vehicles. Be ready to be shooting lots of rounds down range!!!

This should be fun, and I look forward to making more missions where we are not going against Russian vehicles in the future. Maybe even a all Challenger company or something like that.

If anyone has any questions about the mission prior to me going to be Friday night, make sure you get online in TS Friday, and get the mission and have a chat about it. I will be at work both Saturday and Sunday all day during missions.
