« on: October 06, 2016, 10:41:15 PM »
Hi All,

Have a question for you pros!.. I just reinstalled my DCS and was installing the planes.. the Blackshark one is messed up because I have version 1 and 2.. I installed successfully, but my question is. . once version 2 installs correctly in DCS world. Can I now do a uninstall  of version 1 without screwing anything up?

TIA

Hi Tuna.

If you purchased the Blackshark 2 upgrade then you need to keep 1 installed as well.

If you purchased the stand-alone Blackshark 2 (full version) then you do not need blackshark 1.

Hope this helps.

Regards

Thing that stinks.. is I bought it when 2 was out. . the store page I 'landed' on had them separate. Life would be so much better if I had just bought the 2 version. They shouldn't even have 1 available anymore. Just have Full and upgrade. Maybe they have fixed that since. But a PIA installing!

Yes you can. I have the same thing BS v1 > BS v2. Once installed BS v1 and upgraded to v2 you can then uninstall BS v1.

I see you already found out... ;)

lol.. I know it works.. not sure I'll be flying any time soon!.. Took me a long time to learn the Warthog.. now I forgot everything in it.. Will have to learn again.

NefariousK and I tried doing a lil MP in the F-15 today.. we got in.. but didn't venture much further than that.

The Shark is much easier to learn then the Wharthog IMO.

I love the study sims though & agree with you. Step away for awhile & you have to relearn it. I think thats a good thing though. Endless replay ability  ???
