Dovetail Train Simulator
« on: October 04, 2016, 02:00:36 PM »

Since there´s no proper thread regarding Dovetail´s TS and I know Longknife also has a go on it, I though it would be a good Idea to start this thread and share thoughts and add-ons´with all of you.  We know that TS is at TS2017 at the moment with the official release late this year (Dec.) more like a Beta right now.  Everything seems to work ok since Railworks-3 on this new version.

Iam not very found of the offiicial locos in TS except maybe one or two (GP20) and prefer 3rd party add-ons for a more realistic ride.

Saying "Realistic" is a bit adventurous as I have never driven a train, but the intent is to show advance locos that add more then the official one´s. Some even have a "cold and dark" state.

My fav beeing the "Railtraction" OBB 2016 (Electric). I think its one of the most advance locos available. The video is in German but you can get an Idea of whats in for it...

I also have the DB Vectron (Electric).

Official Railtraction site:
http://www.railtraction.eu/

This is the EMD GP20 (Diesel) official Dovetail add-on...

virtualRailroads and it´s "Expert Line" has some great stuff too. Here´s another one of my favs, the FPS G6 (Diesel) German...

DB BR-120 (Electric) Spanish...

virtualRailrods official site:
http://www.virtual-railroads.de/

Armstrong Powerhouse also has some advanced locos...

Class 90 Mk3...

BR cLass 142...

All locos listed above are ownd and tried.

I hope this changes the way some thought on what train simulator can be  ;) Enjoy the ride!

Care,

Red

I read about Train Sim World, which is due to be released in 2017, if I'm not wrong. I have a a few modules and jump in the cab sometimes. :)
