Update 8.19. Golden recipes and your own servers
14 DECEMBER



In this update was redesigned system of collecting recipes, adding the possibility to create your own servers, and lots of edits in the balance and bugfixes. More details about all the changes, see below.

Improvements and fixes 0.8.19

Redesigned system of recipes. Now any recipe in the game can get in the game ways, including "golden" recipes, which make the recipe available on any server.
Instead of books and drawings in the godsends are now drop parts of construction drawings and craft schemes. For simple schemes, as before, will need only one fragment, but for difficult, rare and especially golden recipes its need to find significantly more.
For the number of fragments in the godsends corresponded to the new system, it’s chances of appearance increased threefold.
New recipes you will need to search for a number of complex structures, materials and items.
Number of found and required fragments can be seen in the notes to the recipes in the construction and craft window.
For the premium bonus was returned x2 speed of the gathering instead of the multiplication of resources at mining.
Has been improved system of automatic extension the world. At the start of a new world, the size of map is intended for 100 settlements, once this number has increased, the map will increase by 2 times, then it will happen at 200, 400 and so on.
Fixed error in determining the Steam client, which could cause errors "already started". Need checking.
Added the ability to play at full screen by clicking the icon in the upper right corner, or by pressing Alt+Enter.
"Exit" on the server selection screen is now closes the game client.
Added a separate window for form a group.
In the buildings notes, now writes the production cycle time for the relevant buildings.

Player after entering the world can no longer appear on someone else's territory.
Fixed error with saving armor’s durability.
Increased the number of skins and bones extracted from the animal, amount of meat is reduced, large skin can now also be obtained from horses and foxes.
Skinning growth rate increased by 2 times.
Reduced production time for leather in vats.
Fixed production time for most buildings.
Reduced the amount of bone required for bone meal.
Apples ripen twice faster.
Reduced nutritional value of meat, honey, macaroni and beans.
The number of beans in the cell is reduced to 50, reduced its amount when ripening.
Reduced the number of created leaven.
Reduced required skill level for scissors copper, cement, well, ballista, parts of stone steles.

We need your help to test these changes
New characters are now created with a small initial supply of non-drop food in inventory.
Increased spawn rate of food in the world.
Wooden, iron and steel shield can now be repaired.
Updated all translations.
Updated version of the client shell, which should affect the stability of the launch via Steam, check it please.
Server list now sorted by region, and your region is always displayed first of all.

How to login into the test server with new version?
Right-click the game and select "Properties"
Click on the tab "Betas" and select from the list "test - ..." version. Code for selecting the test build is not required.

Closed server - for admin checks. All recipes are open at once, no resource costs in admin mode there.
Plants grow and production timers - 10 seconds. /help for admin commands

Ostium - x3 rate usual testing server with new version.

Winter has come in the Wild Terra. Snow fell and were frozen coastal waters. Players make snowmen and play snowballs. Now is the time to decorate your homes with Christmas mistletoe. The most courageous residents came out to hunt, because at this time, winter animals live in the forests. If you catch and ride of such a beast, he immediately transformed into Christmas pet.

Birches and aspens for winter overgrown with lush foliage. But the wolflings and fawns were not able to adapt to the cold weather - in the world there were only large adult individuals (size of wolves and deer has been increased without changing the characteristics).

Now easier to survive for a new inhabitants of Wild Terra: has more a simple meal, and roasted meat satisfies the hunger more effectively. Craftsmen can make sets of things without any obstacles.

Cases of stupefaction almost has ceased, and foreigners now properly understand the titles of local residents.

Christmas event and gifts!
In the Wild Terra appeared Christmas trees, which will give you a Christmas mood! A small Christmas tree can be placed even at home. And if you will decorate a large Christmas tree, In addition you will receive the title of "Spirit of Christmas" and a gift (appears every 30 minutes near a large Christmas tree, if it is decorated).
Hang a Christmas sock and you get a gift in the New Year (the more snowflakes in the sock, the higher chance at getting a rare gift)

Details and changes
Christmas mood increases the speed of movement and speed of gathering, building and crafts. Stacks with a premium bonus. Disappear after the holiday.
You can extend the Christmas mood using of mulled wine
In the gifts you will find Christmas snowflakes, various useful items and unique Christmas cloaks that do not drop at a death.

Update 8.21. Changes in the user interface and tutorial

In this update we started to change the game interface. More details about all the changes, see below.

Improvements and fixes 0.8.21
Main actions interface were remade as well as HP, Stamina and hunger bars.
Effects block now displays in upper middle of your screen while equipment bonuses and stats were moved to the upper left corner of the screen.
Industry machines will now open their main window after click without showing pop up window.
Tools will be auto equipped after you started harvest/craft/build actions. You can switch it off in config.js file in game directory changing AUTO_EQUIP_TOOL line,
While building all type of beds you will get auto offer to set this bed as a resurrection point.
Basic tutorial been replaced on graphic one, now you can start it any time you need it.
Some basic tutorial food pictures were added.
Links for Wiki and forum were added in tutorial.
Time cycles display were added in industry buildings widow.
Automatic adjustment of the zoom added for high and low resolution screens when the game starts Use + and - buttons to change zoom manually.
Some fixes made with low quality harvest when there were zero chance to get food of rabbits, hens, nests and carrots.
Some changes were made with client to fix WebGL issue for those who had it on some video cards.
Christmas trees no longer can be found in the wild. Small Christmas trees no longer buffs. All other Christmas event's effects turned off and disabled.

The new mechanic would reduce the importance of grind



Everything described hereafter - still in development or exists only in the plans. Remember that a lot can change and the dates may be delayed. We will do everything to make changes more better and timely.

"Craftsman's Insight" and "Battle Focus"
In the near future we plan to reduce the gap in progress between those who spend many hours in the game, and those who do not have a such opportunity. We also want to reduce the importance and influence of boring grind, by making a significant decrease in the overall required experience. To implement this, we will add new anti-grind system.

"Craftsman's Insight" and "Battle Focus" - a peculiar reservoirs with a stock of experience that gives a greater speed in leveling (crafts and combat respectively). When the reservoir is devastated, the gained experience will be reduced to normal values.

Despite the fact that this stock of experience is limited, it will be replenished:
•   when you are absent in the game (if you leave the game being near the bed - the recovery will be quicker);
•   by using consumables.
Already soon we will begin to test the "Craftsman's Insight" and "Battle Focus". This system will be gradually further developed and expanded.

In today's update, the mechanics of sieges was changed. We made it more dynamic and ensure the presence of defenders. All siege weapons can attack only during the Siege, and their speed of preparation for the attack is now only 10 minutes instead of 8 hours.

The Siege Time on the test server Ostium PvP is scheduled on 18:00 to 19:00 GMT. The siege will be held every day until the end of the Open Test! The first siege will be held today, 22 January.
