DOW Saturday Mission  16/05/28

Russian Forces launch amphibious assault to begin the attack

Losses were heavy crossing the river

Attacking Hinds were shot out of the sky

Assaulting forces were decimated once they crossed the river

But enemy tank forces pushed their way up to the second line of defense,
inflicting losses

Russian Forces broke through the mine-fields of the second line of defense

The DOW set up ambushes to slow down the advancing Russian Horde

Russian forces took losses as they made it to the outskirts of Narva

But sheer numbers overwhelmed the DOW.

Narva is lost!

I tried to put these in some kind of order...   just some cool events i noticed from AAR. That I liked. :)

And most of these are either vehicle killing another target.. or ambushing   ...  or just showing of as second cv90 pic... lol

blue sides plan...  I just gotta marvel your plan... it was really good. Especially that minefield over there. :)

Flank guarding by cv90.. before enemy troops fire basooka finishing it.

Sep running to aid cv90, but too late.

_______________________________________________

Other bradley defending a narrow forest road on southern flank and killng bmp3

_______________________________________________

Conns Sep defending main road...  or well...  was before it finally died

First btr-80 appearead on a scouting. But it backed away hurriedly once Conn shot at it, missing.

Then a T90 got there... alerted by btr80, sneaked carefully and got good flank shot of not so careful SEP

____________________________________

Colebrooks sneaky sep prowling on woods and ambushing many enemies
T90 busted unaware of colebrooks browling SEP

Even this t72-m4 busted unaware of hiding beast.

He managed this for quite long time...
Though in the end...  like 15 or 30 mins later when other units had ran into trouble, russians were finally about to get their revenge

in the end there was too many and it attempted to escape... too late

_______________________________________

A bad idea from bradley

---------------------------------------------

Charlie B defending while russians are coming!

-------------------------------------------------------

(colebrooks) Leopard prowling and ambushing t72s at south. Guarding narrow cap where blue forces escaped to other side of minefield barrier.

-----------------------------------------------------

And urm this was weird one...  in truth this leo was in emplacement. But I take it that AAR afterwards doesn't show emplacement...  sooo..  this is what you get. Leopard on grass bathing
it was cool that you guys actually used emplacements!

___________________________________________

Cv90 -get's reminded that even disabled btr-80 can be dangerous. This one just immobilized connaughs cv90 though. And moment later Conn made swiss cheece out of daring btr-80.

Though.. Conn didn't know that there was avenger nearby

Russians last attack begins

_______________________________________

Charlie B, did great job defending Narva from russian horde. here is group of pictures of what he actually did...

He massacred a lot in the end. Here BMP-3 he just fired seen trough the barrel.

Same unit from its view

And from Charlie B's point of view...  notice t90 coming to engage from left! Action!  -  Weird thing is that he actually survived this!

Charlie B's last man standing finally coming to an squeezing tight and brutal end

----------------------------------------------------

At the very end... sneaky colebrook had scouted and spotted all my support elements just center south of minefield barrier where  I had routed them to.
(lot more than you can see.. around 40 units on one pile you can see that pile from pic posted by conn. Just next to minefield a huge red area).

So he backed up to reload.. but didn't know I followed with brt-80...  he started to back away or turn...  I shoots his track

that made his cv90 to turn akwardly exposing vulnerable side armor...  and I fired heavy caliber 50 to lower center hull killing him at once, and gaining revenge to innocent fallen comrades he had slaughtered brutally.

As for russian side...  lost 83 units...  Most being tanks and we advanced only 7 klicks. Was it worth it? NO!

Well done Dog's of War!

Rolling Thunder 16

Great set of missions.

However, in Mission 1, I was disabled as retreating and overrun, getting only one kill.

Mission 2 was our finest hour. As part of Leadhorse, helped stop the Soviet incursion from the East.

Mi-24V Hind helicopters were all destroyed without inflicting significant damage

Then reconnaissance vehicles probing our lines were destroyed

A T-90 Platoon penetrated our lines but were destroyed

Two BDRM-2's were found in our rear and were destroyed

In Mission 3, it appeared that my section was sitting in the path of the main attack and had predictable results.
