DOW Missions - schedule / In progress / general discussion

Okay after having troubles on last two weeks I feel that actual schedule and discussion has to be set up.

Until today morning I was in understanding that schedule that was planned around three weeks ago would hold up even today. And that today we would actually play Cougars campaign.

Yet as I yesterday PM:med him asking if so. He replied that he was in understanding that My campaign should be played. So, neither was prepared having campaign mission ready to play. So I picked up one mission from the past that I sort of want to take another shot at.

Most of you guys might remember this mission as EMP one. And since there is one player on Opfor this mission can and will be very different from last time. Even when general plot is about the same. I will make some minor hasty changes to make a little bit more difference to last time.

So currently my general question is...  what are we going to play next week... and in what order in future. - Also, I have not heard from Redwardancer at all for quite a while. I hope he is still alive.

Right now....  in my understanding we have following missions coming.

Connaugh's - mission Battle of Mountains
Cougar's -  Team Iron campaign
Lumi's - Suomussalmi campaign part 2

Redwardancer's mission for this month I have not heard of, bu I will pm him.

Is there anyone else willing to contribute to making DOW missions?

If we would be playing some of old missions again. What missions you guys would want to have another try on?

I have made some minor revisions but what I have is ready.
However, I will be playing Rolling Thunder on June 11th and I would like to defer the mission to a later week.

Ah...  there is Rolling thunder event...  I had entirely forgot that one. Chees...  I guess there will be mild participation then anyways, cause many have though to participate to that.

So I'm guessing we are going to have extremely low participation this saturdays DOW mission. Id like to know who are going to come to be able to pick or make us a proper mission.

I actually started making new small scenario...  and it will be rather "interesting."  as well fairly small...  and should be easy to CO. So if there is volunteer CO, I could brief one early.

There will be total 6 playable AFVs + CO. And mission will be more like...  patrolling / peacekeeping. Not so much of shooting.  So this time.. its all about comms and situation awareness.


However...  due to nature of this mission...  wed need at least 4 players to even think playing this. If we go under..  I suggest we pick something else.


So yeah...  who are to come to play this saturday?

Well my mission is playable already. It just needs briefing. And then it could be posted to forums. Though.... since I'm busy today and tomorrow so I can't post it before Friday Night.

Classified description could do for now... or UN forces in peacekeeping operation have got into situation where they try to defend civilian refugees, from war between two countries. Currently located to a camp in the mountains but near border between countries in war with each other. These mountains unlikely to be war area, though religios hostile groups are likely to pester the area.

That could do for now as mission description.
Leopard 1a5dks 2x and piranhas (rws) 4x + co m113g4-dk. Trucks and medics trucks.

Task to avoid battles and to protect life's of civilians at camp while waiting for more refugees to arrive and Food supplies to starved children.


That's about it... can't do more right now. Next time I'll be in pc... after 26+ hour's

Immersion mission? Uhh I feel pressures now. Hopefully it will be like that. Sb can be clunky... especially with my missions. >.<
