Bringing the Steel Beasts Community closer.

Bringing the Steel Beasts Community closer.

Cooperation for better Co-op missions
The idea to have a closer community in SB has been on my mind since I first purchased it. For one reason or another it never happened. Until now.
I have been in talks with another VU. I presented the idea of joint co-op missions. The idea was welcomed.

This is how it would work.
One Sunday a month we would have a co-op game with the Vu. They will host one session and we would host the next. The sessions would not be competitive. They would be friendly. It might be possible that it could move to 2 sessions a month.

This is in the planning stage. This is an exciting time for the community. You never know. It may spread…..

I will let you know when there is more information.

Regards

I am glad that people are embracing this.

We will call this "The Vu Co-op mission".

At the moment July 10th is a possible if we are happy?

We have been asked about equipment.

Thoughts please.

Anything is alright to me. I seriously would not mind challys warrior's and scimitars.

Polish army equipment would be interesting as well.

Though... since they make mission. Why we would not use same equipment as they use... just represent different company?

As well as challenger, scimitar etc...

Would love you see more engineer assets and support assets type missions.

I for one love to do support and even though most missions have them, we very rairley use them as it take resources away from the fight, Just like in real life.

We always concentrate to much on the killing and the goals.

And that one guy... usually CO... is too busy with managing all radio traffic, arty, support assets. And thus that often busy using AFVs that no one use.. in battle.. perhaps even as front line recon "killing" assets.

Sadly easiest way to do is to simply keep supporting engineer asset over there. And for arty... to just spam it to enemy locations on map.

If Wilson does engineering/ support. I could do artillery. Arty works nice with recon anyways... though can be risky, especially when advancing

I am putting together the mission as we speak.

1. We are fine with either us or EU vehicles.
2. I am keeping the first mission simple in terms of engineering assets etc. For first game it's a defence vs. Opfor team. 2x tnk coy,1x mech coy.
3. We are not fond of mass artillery map strikes either. We will  place on_map artillery and when they are empty... well then you have used enough 😊.

On note of support mission we do have a lot of guys that cheered when the opportunity of doing breach, crossing, etc presented itself.  But as you say, it takes more people to do it right.

I look very much forward to this.

Hope you like the date. When it's confirmed I will put up post.

Also I promised Asid he would be first to get it when done.
