Nice screenshots
« on: December 22, 2016, 06:19:01 PM »
Here are two interesting screenshots of Tornado. Interesting for three reasons. One, the perspective is unusual - it is shot from the top (F2 key) just as the plane is screaming away at an angle. Two, the ground detail is typical of the game, which in the early-1990s was the most detailed portrayal of landscape of any flight simulation game. Three, the ground detail was a product of David Marshall's talent in designing ground structures and landscape detail, and indicative of what was to come years later in terms of scenery design.

-and-

Years after he had left Digital Integration (then Titus Interactive), the late David Marshall turned his creative gifts to designing X-Plane scenery and downloads for the community.

A lazy Saturday morning, with a few Tornado screenshots using the latest trees and clouds mods, as of 20th April 2018.

Buzzing the installation

Screaming past a bridge over a lake

Play to get a sense of speed at low level - polygon shaded graphics of 1991

Down at 90 feet. Watch out for those trees!

Final approach on an airfield

Clouds maketh the atmosphere.
