Life is Feudal : Your Own

Happy New Year to all forum readers.

Last year I started to search for a good Survival Simulation, no Zombies and no Monsters, only a good old school: build, harvest and prosper type of game.

So I found Life is Feudal : Your Own sandbox type Medieval world simulation.

I decided to give a try and installed the Dedicated Server software on BOPE - DoW Server.

Here some tech.specs:

• Pregenerated World size 3km2
• Max 64 Players
• Presitent Worlds, can be restarted by Admin
• Server administrator will be able to set passwords and enforce rulesets that suit their and their friends playstyle
• Some gameplay settings can be tweaked by server owners to alter a gameplay (skills progression speed, skillcap, statcap, etc.)

“Life is Feudal: Your Own” (LiF:YO) is a medieval life simulator for 64 players on a 3km x 3km gameworld. It places you in a realistic medieval setting with the ability to host your own private world and set your own rules. This world has free terraforming and building features. You can build your own house anywhere in the world! Team up with your friends and build a village or city and repel attacks by other players who want to steal your lands and slaughter your cattle! A good castle with tall city walls might help you protect yourselves and your precious valuables.

Hi Attila

This is an interesting sim. I like the time frame and the freedom to do whatever you want.
A sandbox server would be great if you could get enough people on it.

Please keep us posted with how this goes…Screenshots would be great. Tell us more about the crafting etc.

They promised boats are going to come aswel (spikes a new part of intresting in me). I am keeping it on a watch and if we get a group buying it and playing it I am in.

This game is A-freaking-mazing. Created my own server (private) to mess around with the GM mode and figure out everything possible. One problem is.. without GM mode with a small amount of people this game takes a very long time. How to describe this? Well, if age of empires, stalker, medieval engineers and banished had a baby... well you get it. This is a game to lose millions of hours in. If anyone wants to try it out hit me up on teamspeak and I see what I can do.

Great pictures Don.

This seems to be a really immersive game. It would be beneficial with a few more players. The reason is that it is open world. The “story” is created by the players 100%.

I like the look of this.

At this moment I have massive graphical performance issues. I have no idea what they changed or what they did but my GPU is not liking it. As it still runs the same on my other pc (but low graphics) I dont think it is the game. I am having even issues on low graphics on the dell. The blame for this I think the fact that I am using a quadro card. This card is not designed for gaming and the game is not  designed for the card. It is not unplayable at the moment but taking out a lot of joy.
