DOW Bridge to Kursk 1 V1 by Cougar11

This scenario is a simulation and does not have any political message.

Mission Summary :
US forces attack to secure a vital bridge area in route to Kursk. Russian forces have been retreating, and might be prepared to defend or attack. Attack to secure the bridge and barracks as the main effort in the center.

Excerpts of the battalion commander's (HAVOC 6) orders for...BLUEFOR (D.O.W.)

1) SITUATION:
Russian MRB consisting of elements of the 125th consisting of Cold War era motorized armor and PCs. Intel shows forces above 3 companies that were retreating, and have showed some signs of a planned defense.

a) Enemy:
   A 1-12 CAV consisting of 3 platoons M1IP and 1 platoon M3A2.
   B Troops 4-7 CAV to the South 2 platoons M3A2, 2 platoons M1IP. (AI)
   C Company 1-12 CAV to the North 1 Platoon M2A2, 3 Platoons M1IP. (AI)

b) Own:
The Royal Canadian Dragoons consisting of 3 platoons of LEO 2A5A1-DK, 1 platoon CV90-40B, and support units are positioned in the north, and ready to attack south.

c) Attachments and detachments: Engineers, and if needed 1 apache (-500pts)

2) MISSION:

A 1-12 CAV will attack along axis of advance NTL 1200HRS 26DEC2015 to secure Objectives HAWK, Sparrow, and setup a screen line to the East. Bravo 4-7 CAV will be to the South, and Charlie 1-12 CAV will be to the North to setup blocking positions.

3) EXECUTION:

Intent: A 1-12 CAV as the main effort will attack along axis of advance NTL 1200HRS 26DEC2015 to secure Objectives HAWK, Sparrow, and setup a screen line to the East.
