It further proceedings on equipment for Leopard Training Center, last year did not materialize due to funding cuts in the ministry of defense.      Inspektorat Uzbrojenia ogłosił postępowanie w sprawie pozyskania symulatorów/trenażerów dla kierowców czołgów Leopard 2. Sprzęt trafić ma do 10. Brygady Kawalerii Pancernej ze Świętoszowa, w praktyce do Ośrodka Szkolenia Leopard.

   Planowane jest pozyskanie w 2015 roku trzech urządzeń tej klasy. Co ciekawe, w ogłoszeniu pada sformułowanie „Leopard 2A4”. Jest to trochę w sprzeczności z możliwościami posiadanych już przecież wozów w wersji A5 oraz planowanej do uruchomienia (i trapionej problemami) modernizacji do nowego standardu dziś użytkowanych w Świętoszowie wozów A4. W nowszych wersjach kierowca dysponuje bowiem dodatkowo kamerą do tylnego cofania z monitorem obrazu na swoim stanowisku, co diametralnie zmienia jego świadomość sytuacyjną.

   Symulatory/trenażery mają być produktami nowymi, wyprodukowanymi w roku dostawy. O wyborze dostawcy zadecyduje przede wszystkim cena (80 punktów) oraz okres gwarancji (20 punktów). Wartość zlecenia szacowana jest na 9 mln PLN.

   Na wnioski chętnych Inspektorat Uzbrojenia oczekuje do 13 października br. Dostawy zaplanowano do końca listopada 2015 roku. To kolejne postępowanie na wyposażenie dla Ośrodka Szkolenia Leopard, zeszłoroczne nie doszło do skutku z powodu cięć finansowych w resorcie obrony. Należy również przypomnieć decyzję o zakupie dwóch czołgów Leopard w wersji do nauki jazdy.
