Simulators for drivers of Leopard 2 tanks
Translated

Armament Inspectorate announced the procedure for the acquisition of simulators / trainers for drivers Leopard 2 tanks to hit equipment has to 10th Armoured Cavalry Brigade from Świętoszów, in practice Leopard Training Center.

This is another attempt to buy simulators for Leopard 2 tanks, but from 2013 there was a significant difference - purchased cars in the version of the A5. In the photo the driving position Leopard 2A4 tank. fot. Mariusz Cielma.

It is planned acquisition in 2015 of three devices in its class. Interestingly, the announcement falls wording "Leopard 2A4". It is a bit at odds with the capabilities of their existing version after all cars in the A5 and planned to run (and plagued by problems) upgrade to the new standard now used in cars Świętoszów A4. In newer versions of the driver has in fact further to the rear reversing camera with a monitor image on its position, which radically changes his situational awareness.

Simulators / trainers will be new products which are produced in the year of delivery. The choice of provider will decide primarily price (80 points) and the warranty period (20 points). The contract value is estimated at PLN 9 million.

At the conclusion willing Inspectorate of Armaments is expected to 13 October. Delivery is scheduled for the end of November 2015. It further proceedings on equipment for Leopard Training Center, last year did not materialize due to funding cuts in the ministry of defense. It should also be noted the decision to buy two tanks Leopard version for driving.

Dostawy zaplanowano do końca listopada 2015 roku.
